More double rein study…
Reed is holding her reins the way I was taught, and it is still my favorite way. Even though it isn’t completely correct. I like this way a lot because you just have to flick your pinkies in order to enact the curb and your pinky is the most delicate finger you have in terms of pressure(this is why we don’t use our index fingers with one normal rein, because it’s too much pressure on the bit). So for sensitive horses, who don’t take a lot of intense curb you can just flick your pinkies and it’s enough light feather pressure on the curb chain to tell the horse, “hey there, it’s time to wait I wanna fit it in” or whatever you’re going.
